Crystal Palace now want to sign £4m man who Gary Neville called "really, really good"

Why Chelsea FINALLY Turned A Corner.

Crystal Palace have now decided to pursue a deal to sign Wilfried Gnonto from Leeds United if Wilfried Zaha departs Selhurst Park.

That is according to the Mirror.

So, what are the details involving Wilfried Gnonto and Crystal Palace? Let’s take a look…

What’s the story?

Well, the Italy international put his name up in lights during the 2022/23 campaign with some electric performances for Leeds, following a £3.8m move from FC Zurich in September 2022.

Gnonto’s dazzling displays were not enough to keep Leeds in the Premier League, and he is now expected to make a swift return to England’s top-flight as a result of their relegation.

The Mirror explain how Zaha officially becomes a free agent when his contract expires on Friday, and given the fact he is yet to make a decision, plans are being put in place to deal with the Ivory Coast international’s potential departure.

It is also stated in the story that Al-Nassr are willing to pay the Crystal Palace No.11 £45m over three years to move to Saudi Arabia, with Paris Saint-Germain also interested in his services.

Crystal Palace face competition for Gnonto

Gnonto was simply outstanding last season, to the point where Gary Neville even said the 19-year-old could play for Manchester City, as quoted by Leeds Live.

As a result, it won’t be easy for us to sign the Italian, due to the fact others are also interested.

The Mirror believe Brighton, West Ham and Everton are also keen to sign Gnonto, with the Seagulls and the Hammers able to offer him UEFA Europa League football in the 2023/24 campaign.

Financially – however – we should be able to make the Leeds No.29 a decent offer if Zaha does choose to leave, as there is a £200,000-a-week offer on the table for the Ivorian, according to the Guardian.

If Zaha rejects it, then most of those funds can be put towards a deal for Gnonto – be sure to keep an eye on the situation, as anything could happen this summer.
