Why Chelsea FINALLY Turned A Corner.
The future of Crystal Palace star Michael Olise is apparently now in doubt after details around a clause in his contract were confirmed.
They is according to Fabrizio Romano.
So, what’s the latest on the future of Michael Olise? Let’s take a look…
What’s the Story?
Crystal Palace already lost star winger Wilfried Zaha this summer. Apparently, things could get a lot worse as our other top winger Michael Olise could be on the move.
Romano, who recently reported on Olise picking up interest from Manchester City and Chelsea, as well as telling us there may be a £35million release clause, tweeted today: “Release clause confirmed. Man City and Chelsea interest confirmed. Olise, one to follow in the next days/weeks.”
With the squad already quite thin and Palace fans getting worried, it would be dreadful to lose Olise this season. Despite him picking up a hamstring injury and possibly missing the start of the season, it looks like he could still depart.
The winger has grown amazingly at Palace and we know he’s on to big things. It feels like it’s a matter of when he leaves not if.
It would be great to hold onto Michael Olise this summer
No doubt it would be great for Crystal Palace if they keep hold of Olise this summer transfer window. The 21 year-old has top potential and has been a key player for the club.
Although he only got three goals last season, Olise is a top creator and managed 11 assists in the Premier League last season.
This was the fourth most in the division and emphasises how good he is. You can see why top clubs want to sign him as soon as possible when he apparently has a £35million release clause.
The “special” talent is attracting lots of interest. Despite this, his injury could stop a move this summer. It is a big risk to sign a player for a lot of money who is injured and they may want to see how he recovers before buying him.
No matter what happens with Olise, it is a huge summer for the Eagles. They have only signed one player but have lost multiple this summer.
The squad depth doesn’t look great and it looks like it could be another season of battling in the bottom half unless we can sign some players soon.
