'Slightly unusual': Journalist drops transfer update involving linked-away Crystal Palace star

Why Chelsea FINALLY Turned A Corner.

Crystal Palace player Michael Olise has been the subject of a lot of interest and his release clause price may not be as first thought.

That’s according to journalist Ed Aarons.

So, what’s the latest on the future of Michael Olise? Let’s take a look…

What’s the story?

Reports from Fabrizio Romano had suggested that Crystal Palace star Michael Olise has a £35million release clause. The same report also shared that Manchester City and Chelsea are interested.

Despite this, it doesn’t look like it is all doom and gloom for Crystal Palace fans. We know how much of a talent he is and hopefully he will stay at the club past the summer.

Ed Aarons, who is a journalist for The Guardian, tweeted: “So the Michael Olise release clause … understand that it is actually slightly more than £35m that has been widely quoted and is also complicated by some slightly unusual terms set by player. They include Olise being able to turn down a move even if the clause is triggered.”

It is great news to hear that the release clause for Olise is more than quoted. Meanwhile, it is good that there are some more details to the clause that make it more complicated.

Michael Olise is massively important to Crystal Palace’s success

If we want to challenge top half and battle against the best in the Premier League, then we need to keep Olise this summer.

Wilfried Zaha has left, and we need some bright attacking talents like Olise to stay at the club. The fact that his release clause is definitely more complicated than we first thought is great news and could make it much harder for interested clubs to buy him.

There are some top young prospects at the club alongside Olise, like Eberechi Eze and Marc Guehi. It is definitely very exciting times for fans of the club.

Olise is still only 21 years-old and he is definitely worthy of a top move. Despite this, it may be better for him to stay at the club for another year.

He is not guaranteed consistent game time at a Manchester City or a Chelsea. At Palace, he is a key player and will play every week.

This will massively help his growth and help him match his world-class potential. Hopefully the club can keep him this summer and watch his become an even better player than he already is.
