SAKA, ANTONY AND 10 PREMIER LEAGUE STARS HEADING TO THEIR FIRST WORLD CUP

As things stand, things aren’t looking good for Fulham, West Brom or Sheffield United in the Premier League.

The struggling trio occupy the bottom three in England’s top-flight, with 18th-placed Fulham the closest to safety by six points.

In West Brom and Sheffield United’s case, things are looking bleak – they have just 13 and 11 points respectively.

For Crystal Palace, a side in need of a huge overhaul this summer, we need to be ruthless and circle these sides like vultures if they do eventually drop.

One player who is hopefully on Dougie Freedman’s list is Matheus Pereira.

The Brazilian maestro is a wonderfully creative player, so much so that he even recorded 20 assists in the Championship last season.

Pereira has impressed since stepping into the top-flight, scoring five goals and assisting three more in a struggling Baggies side.

Do we really need him?

Well, in our view, yes. The right side of our attack is practically non-existent right now.

If Roy Hodgson isn’t shoving Jordan Ayew there as a square peg in a round hole, he’s having to put Andros Townsend there, a man who has lost some pace and isn’t as effective going forward as he used to be.

Additionally, Pereira is left-footed, so like Ebere Eze on the other flank, he can cut in on his stronger foot and test the keeper, or play an incisive through ball.

Furthermore, if the South American roams infield, it could open up space for Nathaniel Clyne on the overlap.

The 24-year-old has impressed this season, and is arguably yet to reach his prime years.

If his services become available this summer, we must get involved.
