Imagine him and Eze: Freedman must bring 'elite shooter' to Palace - Red and Blue View

SAKA, ANTONY AND 10 PREMIER LEAGUE STARS HEADING TO THEIR FIRST WORLD CUP

According to Tutto Mercato Web, Sampdoria duo Mikkel Damsgaard and Filip Djuricic are on Crystal Palace’s radar ahead of the transfer window.

In our view, only one of them should be pursued by Dougie Freedman.

We’d love to see Palace focus primarily on Damsgaard, and ignore Djuricic.

Why? Well, the latter is 29, and with a pretty old squad already, we don’t need anymore players nearing their thirties. However, Damsgaard – who is only 20 – seems to be a real wonderkid.

The prodigy has already been capped by Denmark, and has also attracted interest from Tottenham, according to Tuttosport.

In that respect, we’ve got serious competition for his signature, but it would be incredible to see the Dane at Selhurst Park.

Why? Well, for a start, Steve Parish must ensure more young prodigies are brought to Selhurst Park in order for the squad’s average age to be lowered.

Additionally, by the sounds of things, the Dane is a gem.

The Athletic included him in a list of underrated Serie A stars, in which they also described him as an ‘elite shooter’ and a ‘fine dribbler’.

In terms of fine dribblers, we already have one of our own in Eberechi Eze.

On that note, an XI including Damsgaard, Eze and also Wilfried Zaha is a mouthwatering prospect – the dribbling quality in that trio is incredible.

Leeds are also keen on the Sampdoria prospect – according to La Repubblica – so Freedman must bring his A-game if we’re to sign the Dane.
