'Next week': After Michael Olise news, Steve Parish teases Crystal Palace fans with exciting hint

Why Chelsea FINALLY Turned A Corner.

Steve Parish has teased Crystal Palace fans with an exciting transfer hint after dramatically agreeing a new contract with Michael Olise.

The 58-year-old made the comments when speaking to Sky Sports about the contract extension.

So, what did Steve Parish say after tying Michael Olise down to fresh terms? Let’s take a look…

What’s the story?

Well – when discussing his delight at the winger’s contract extension – Parish hinted that he and Dougie Freedman may have some deals in the pipeline.

The Crystal Palace co-owner said: “We’ll look to do one or two more things in the market next week, if it’s right.”

So far this summer, things have been fairly quiet on the recruitment front, with only Jefferson Lerma and Matheus Franca arriving at Selhurst Park.

However, Luka Milivojevic and James McArthur both left before Lerma arrived, while Wilfried Zaha has departed too, so the Colombia international and Franca have not exactly strengthened us, but merely replaced options we lost.

Therefore, the final two weeks of the transfer window represent an important period for Parish and Freedman to bolster Roy Hodgson’s squad.

Who Crystal Palace could sign next week

It feels unlikely that we’ll get a signing or two through the door next week – given the fact there have been very few stories which state Crystal Palace are closing in on anyone.

However, the Olise news truly emerged from nowhere, so we have no idea what Parish and Freedman could be preparing.

Unfortunately, we are not on the inside, so we can only go off what the media are saying – in that respect, we believe Che Adams and Abdul Fatawu Issahaku could be the two players Parish is hinting at.

The Evening Standard believe we would like to sign Adams from Southampton, but are only considering a £10m bid at this stage as Freedman explores every possible option.

In regards to Issahaku, we recently saw a £7m offer rejected for the Ghana international, with Sporting CP demanding £13m for the rapid winger – according to Record in Portugal.

Be sure to been an eye on developments at Crystal Palace, as next week could be a very exciting period.
