Crystal Palace should move for Noni Madueke
A report from TEAMtalk has now revealed that Chelsea are open to offers for winger Noni Madueke, whom they signed from PSV Eindhoven last year.
Madueke has hardly featured this season, and the 21-year-old could be the perfect addition to Palace’s squad to add more quality on the wings.
The Englishman came through the Crystal Palace academy before leaving at a young age to join Tottenham Hotspur.
Palace were linked with a move for him during his days at PSV in 2021, and now have the chance to sign him again.
What would Madueke bring to Crystal Palace?
The winger has not had the best time at Chelsea, but thrived at PSV with 20 goals and 14 assists in 80 appearances.
Frank Lampard described him as “fantastic” after a victory over Bournemouth last season, and he could be the answer to Crystal Palace’s goalscoring problems.
One thing to consider though, is that Madueke prefers the right wing, just like Michael Olise. If they are to start together, one would have to play on the other side.
If Chelsea would accept a loan deal, potentially even with an option to buy, Palace could secure themselves a bright young talent in a risk-free manner. Conor Gallagher and Ruben Loftus-Cheek have had loan spells at Selhurst Park in recent years, and he could follow suit by making a January move across London.
