Training Ground

Crystal Palace have embraced Copers Cope Road as the south London natives’ training ground since the early 2000s. Yet the Eagles only took ownership of the facilities in 2013 having leased the venue.

A variety of sites served as Crystal Palace’s training ground over the years before the Eagles settled at Copers Cope Road. Among their many sites included spells at the Mitcham Training Group, Streete Court, Whitgift School, Beckenham Rugby Club and Langley Park while also even using Selhurst Park.

The chance to move to Beckenham in the early 2000s presented Crystal Palace with the chance to set foundations at one training ground, however. They secured a lease agreement worth £200,310 a year to move into the facilities. But an auction let them buy the Copers Cope Road site for £2.3m in 2013.
