Steve Parish is not the most popular man at Selhurst Park right now as Crystal Palace fans begin to grow frustrated.
The Eagles have recorded just one win from the last nine Premier League outings under Roy Hodgson as the lack of squad depth causes issues – amid a terrible injury crisis.
That is mainly down to a lack of investment in problematic positions over the years – specifically on the right of defence where the ageing Joel Ward and Nathaniel Clyne are fighting for a start, which is incredible given the fact ten years have passed since promotion.

What Steve Parish said in 2015
Well, the 58-year-old claimed back in December 2015 that Crystal Palace could win the Premier League within ten to 15 years.
Amid the arrival of Josh Harris and David Blitzer, Parish told The Sun: “I am not saying this investment will see us lift the title next season but in ten to 15 years we can win the Premier League… what’s the point of being in the game if you’re not trying to win things?”
That second part is what many Crystal Palace fans are asking right now as disillusionment creeps in.

There is seemingly no ambition whatsoever – Hodgson appears to have been kept on as a cheap option who can simply keep us in the Premier League, as he is happy to operate on a shoestring budget and rarely demands signings.
When we watch the likes of Aston Villa, Brighton and Leicester – all of whom were promoted after us – taste European football, while Crystal Palace have only secured one top ten finish since promotion, it does leave a sour taste.
We are now eight years on from Parish’s comment about winning the Premier League, and little progress has been made.
In our view, the man from Forest Hill needs to start putting his money where his mouth is.
