SAKA, ANTONY AND 10 PREMIER LEAGUE STARS HEADING TO THEIR FIRST WORLD CUP
Yesterday, Crystal Palace released some training ground footage showing Jean-Phillipe Mateta on fire in front of goal.
The towering Frenchman netted a number of fine finishes, including a well-taken header from a clever Andros Townsend cross.
After that specific effort hits the net, Scott Dann can be heard moaning at one of his teammates for their lack of defensive work-rate.
However, it’s a mystery as to who that person was.
The £3.5 million centre-back said: ‘You just give the ball away everytime and not run back, we’ll just do the defending.’

Ouch.
Whoever Dann was talking to, he certainly didn’t sound happy with them.
We wouldn’t want to speculate over which lazy teammate the ex-Blackburn man was referring to.
However, in our view, it’s good to see the Liverpool-born defender speak up and berate one of his teammates for a lack of effort.
If laziness becomes normalised on the training pitch, then it could potentially occur on matchdays, which wouldn’t be acceptable.
The leaders among the group must step up and nip laziness and other bad habits in the bud, and Dann did exactly that.
Whoever he was talking to probably wasn’t pleased to be dressed down in front of the rest of the squad.
However, from a Crystal Palace fan’s point of view, it is pleasing to see someone be called out for not pulling their weight.
