Monday night brought more misery for Crystal Palace in a 1-0 loss to Nottingham Forest.
Seven winless Premier League games for the Eagles became eight on Monday night at the City Ground with Chris Wood piling the misery onto Oliver Glasner.
Things have been awful this season and while there is confidence Glasner can turn things around in the dressing room and in the stands, another disjointed performance and a deflating defeat will leave fans questioning what is going on.
Crystal Palace are now nine points worse off through eight games compared with Roy Hodgson last season – a statistic which is quite damning.
But despite the 1-0 loss, there was one positive on display and it left SE25 fans raving on social media – with Will Hughes getting the opposite treatment from the home support.
How Asher Agbinone fared on Eagles debut
19-year-old Crystal Palace academy graduate Asher Agbinone finally got handed his chance in the first-team on Monday night.
Coming off the bench in the 88th minute with the Eagles already 1-0 down to Forest, he was an immediate improvement on the senior attackers Crystal Palace were playing for 88 minutes before his introduction.
Agbinone came off the bench and created one chance with the single pass he had – showing instantly that he deserves a chance from now on.
Obviously it is a very small sample size, but it doesn’t change the fact that fans were impressed with how the youth player performed.

After the game, only one player was afforded praise by the Eagles faithful, that being Agbinone.
One fan wrote: “Agbinone in 4 minutes has been more exciting than the entire game”.
“Agbinone come on and looks like he wants to play football for this club unlike the other 10”, another commented.
“Agbinone has done more in 5 minutes than Kamada has done in 85!”, exclaimed one supporter.
This left fans making one demand.
One fan summed it up perfectly, writing: “JUST START AGBINONE FROM NOW ON. AT LEAST HE’S DIRECT”.
Another agreed: “Start Agbinone next game, been our best forward imo”.
