Crystal Palace picked up a massive three points against Sheffield United on Tuesday night with multiple players impressing.

A dramatic five-goal thriller resulted in a 3-2 win for Roy Hodgson‘s side on Tuesday night. The three points were exactly what Hodgson needed in this position as frustrations rose.

The win was inspired by displays from both Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze. Olise scored and assisted two while Eze scored twice himself.

The two were magical and prompted Sky Sports pundit Tim Sherwood to rave about Crystal Palace‘s phenomenal pair.

“Total domination from Olise and Eze. They’re like kids in the playground. It’s too easy for them.”

But after the game, one other player was earning praise alongside the brilliant duo and now fans have also been reacting to the performance of David Ozoh.

Crystal Palace fans react to David Ozoh vs Sheffield United

Taking to X after the game, Palace fans were raving about the impact of 18-year-old midfielder Ozoh.

One fan praised the ace and tipped him for a successful future at the club: “David Ozoh is absolutely fantastic. Big future ahead of him.”

Another fan then asked the question we’ve all been wondering: “What does Ozoh need to do to get a start? He has looked good in all his appearances off the bench”.

A third fan made the argument that he should definitely be starting and showcased immense leadership qualities: “No one ever chat to me about Ozoh not being ready, youngest on the pitch but a proper leader”.

This fan explained exactly what he likes about the youngster: “Ozoh was fantastic. The game became quite frantic and he just picked the ball up, held onto it and started a nice chain of passes and calmed the game down. Reads the game so well.”

Finally, a fan remarked on his excitement over the potential midfield pairing Palace could now have on their hands: “[Adam] Wharton next to Ozoh will feed us for a generation”.

Ozoh and Wharton could dominate the league for a decade

In the two young midfielders of Wharton and Ozoh, Palace have a pairing which could be good enough to be a Premier League-destroying midfield pivot.

The two are immensely talented and are both so young.

Whoever is Palace manager next season will have an embarrassment of riches at his disposal.
