Crystal Palace began the Oliver Glasner era on Saturday as Burnley visited Selhurst Park, here’s five things we learned.

Chris Richards got the first goal of the Oliver Glasner era with a header from a Jordan Ayew cross in the second half.
It was made 2-0 minutes later as Ayew grabbed his second goal in as many games after Roy Hodgson’s departure.
The third came through Jean-Philippe Mateta who converted from the spot making it 3-0 to Palace.

Daniel Munoz looks like a bargain for Palace
One player who has already been benefiting from the change of system since Hodgson’s departure is Munoz who has been phenomenal once again.
Playing in a freer wing-back role he’s showing just why Palace wanted him. He’s in line to play a crucial role for Palace going forward.
His escapading runs down the right, being found by Joachim Andersen’s diagonals are things we could get used to seeing.
Palace changed it up with short corners
Amid a season which has seen Crystal Palace struggle to take advantage from corners, it’s clearly something Glasner has immediately attempted to improve.
Abandoning the standard corner style, short corners look like the new norm at Selhurst Park.
Attempted on multiple occasions, Palace would play a one-two in order to attempt to open up a better angle for the cross. Although offsides were a real problem.

After struggling under Hodgson for so long, Ayew has thrived since he departed and emerged as an early key man for Glasner.
Scoring and assisting here takes his tally to three goal contributions in two games. Making the absence of Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze barely noticeable.
Matheus Franca has arrived at Palace
Emerging from the bench in the second half, Matheus Franca didn’t take long to show what he’s made of in the post-Hodgson era.
Assisting Ayew’s goal and winning the penalty he played a key role despite a lack of minutes.
He’s shown that he deserves to be playing and we wouldn’t be surprised if he was to start next time out.
Glasner starts with a win
This weekend, nobody expected a pretty performance with the result being the only thing that mattered.
In this event, Glasner had the perfect beginning to life at Selhurst Park with a massive 3-0 win over 10-man Burnley.
With this win, momentum from his appointment will be carried on and we could be in line for a special end to the season here. Relegation looks like a very unlikely event already.
