Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze has received a host of praise following his performance against Luton Town on Saturday, with Gary Lineker and Alan Shearer being the latest to commend the Englishman.
Crystal Palace will be devastated to have dropped more points from a winning position on Saturday afternoon, as Luton Town silenced Selhurst Park in the 96th minute.
It was Cauley Woodrow who denied Oliver Glasner his second consecutive home win as manager of the Eagles, as the 29-year-old netted the equaliser by getting on the end of Andros Townsend’s cross.
Despite the game ending on a poor note for Palace, who broke their record for the most points dropped from winning positions in the Premier League (18 points), there were some positives to take away from the fixture.

After his goal against Spurs last week, Eberechi Eze was back to his best against the Hatters at Selhurst Park, almost adding to his scoring tally in admirable fashion in the second half.
The Englishman deceived the Luton midfield with a single touch before driving over the halfway line and firing a shot at goal.
Eze noticed Thomas Kaminski off his line before executing his shot which was agonisingly close to boosting Palace’s lead, hitting the crossbar for his efforts.
The moment of magic from the 25-year-old wowed many, with punditry duo Gary Lineker and Alan Shearer taking the time to comment on the attacker’s mastery.
Speaking on The Rest Is Football podcast, Lineker dubbed Eze’s performance as “superb again”, with his opinion shared by Shearer who called the England international “unbelievable.”
“He had an effort from the halfway line as well didn’t he, it was unbelievable.”

Not only was Eze’s ambitious effort heralded after the game, but his overall performance was pivotal to Palace applying the pressure to Luton’s back line throughout the contest.
As per Sofascore, the £100k-a-week gem completed 100% of his dribbles against the Hatters, as well as recording four key passes and maintaining a pass completion rate of 91%.
The Englishman seems to enjoy playing as part of the front line in the manager’s set-up, seeing him handed the license to create attacking sequences which is where Palace can utilise his talent best.
Glasner will be overjoyed to have Eze fit and part of his plans after recovering from injury, with his impact integral to the challenges that the Eagles face in the final 10 games of the 2023/24 campaign.
