The UEFA Conference League campaign began in perfect fashion for Crystal Palace on a night where Oliver Glasner watched his side dominate Dynamo Kyiv.
Eddie Nketiah netted a second in two games after Daniel Munoz had opened the scoring with a fantastic header – both assisted by Yeremy Pino – securing a result which leaves the Eagles seventh in the UEFA Conference League at the time of writing.
It has also secured Crystal Palace a six-figure sum of prize money.
UEFA hand Crystal Palace £350,000 after beating Dynamo Kyiv
UEFA issue a sum of €400,000 (£350,000) for each win in the Conference League this season, which is sure to delight Steve Parish.
You can see the total prize money amounts for each stage of the competition below, as documented in official UEFA resources.
- League phase draw: €133,000 (£116,000)
- League phase win: €400,000 (£350,000)
- Qualification for the knockout round play-offs: €200,000 (£175,000)
- Qualification for the Round of 16: €800,000 (£698,000)
- Qualification for the Quarter-finals: €1.3m (£1.1m)
- Qualification for the Semi-finals: €2.5m (£2.2m)
- Qualification for the Final: €4m (£3.5m)
- Winners: €3m (£2.6m)

It means Crystal Palace – who are on track for the UEFA Champions League – could bank a total of £2.1m in the event of winning all six games in the league phase.
Should Glasner guide us all the way, the Austrian would bring a grand sum of just over £12m to the accounts at Selhurst Park – not to mention any further broadcasting cash issued by TNT Sports.
What else will happen if Crystal Palace win the UEFA Conference League?
Not only would Crystal Palace take a nice chunk of prize money back to SE25 from the Red Bull Arena – where the UEFA Conference League final is set to be held – but it also comes with another bonus should a third trophy be won under Glasner.
Winning the competition will see the Eagles earn a spot in the UEFA Europa League for next season, which would be a fitting prize considering we deserved to be playing at that level this term anyway.
Should we end up in the UEFA Europa League with another trophy and over £12m in prize money, it would be the best possible outcome after a turbulent summer which was overshadowed by legalities.
