Crystal Palace were dealt a harsh blow late on during their fixture against Luton Town in the Premier League on Saturday, seeing the Eagles forced to settle for a draw in the last kick of the game.
Despite the efforts of Oliver Glasner’s side, Palace were unable to keep the Hatters at bay as Rob Edwards watched his side claim a crucial point in the final seconds at Selhurst Park.
An 11th-minute opener from Jean-Philippe Mateta gave the Eagles the lead in style, with his finish lauded by many.
The Frenchman’s audacious flick should have stood for the match-winner due to the quality shown however, it simply wasn’t meant to be on the day in South London.

The Englishman showcased just what he can do as he took two players out with a smart first touch, carried the ball just past the halfway line and took a shot on goal after spotting Thomas Kaminski off his line, hitting the crossbar.
It was a chance created from nothing but the sheer brilliance of the 25-year-old, who was impressive against the Hatters, recording four key passes and completing 100% of his dribbles, via Sofascore.

Aside from his overall dominant performance, Eze was praised heavily on BBC Match of the Day for his stroke of brilliance that saw him hit the crossbar.
Speaking in reaction to the England international’s audacious effort, punditry duo Ian Wright and Gary Lineker were left amazed by the playmaker’s ability at that moment.
Lineker branded the passage of play as “sensational”, which was echoed by former Palace forward, Wright.
“That was just superb, it was a superb effort it would have been fitting for him to score that goal because, to be honest, Palace needed it.”
It turned out that Palace really did need Eze’s effort to hit the back of the net as Cauley Woodrow dealt Glasner’s side a hammer blow in the 96th minute to see the points shared.
There were plenty of positives to take from the game for the hosts who are week-upon-week reminded of how fortunate they are to have a talent as bright as Eze in their ranks.
