Crystal Palace slumped to yet another defeat on Monday night against Chelsea in the Premier League as injury woes continue.
Things got off to the perfect start for Crystal Palace as Jefferson Lerma sent Selhurst Park into raptures after his goal early on.
From well outside the box, the Colombian found the far corner with a wonderful strike which left the Chelsea keeper zero chance.
Ultimately, Chelsea came back to win 3-1 with Conor Gallagher grabbing a brace. After the game, Roy Hodgson gave fans a hint as to how the injured stars are faring and when they’ll be back.

Roy Hodgson on injured players
Hodgson arguably is currently without three of his key men, including his two best players which will no doubt be infuriating to him.
After the loss to Chelsea, he discussed these absences, as quoted by Edmund Brack.
“We still don’t know when [Eberechi] Eze, [Michael] Olise and [Marc] Guehi will be back,” Hodgson admitted as he discussed the game.
He then continued to admit without this trio, Palace will continue to struggle, “so we might be battling through like we have done tonight for a few more games before we can look at a team which will threaten the opposition a bit more than we have done today.”
Crystal Palace need to find new stars to avoid relegation
With just 14 games remaining this season, Palace sit five points above the relegation spot and Everton.
With the injured trio not returning imminently, new stars are going to need to emerge at Selhurst Park if the Eagles are to stay above the relegation spots.
Jean-Philippe Mateta and Lerma played key roles against Chelsea and ultimately Palace will view themselves as unlucky to have dropped the point they had in their grasp.
