While Crystal Palace look to do their talking on the pitch, they have plenty of talent plying their trade away from Selhurst Park.

Some of the club’s academy stars are spending the season on loan elsewhere, looking to gain crucial experience for their careers ahead.

Those youngsters may be able to force their way into Oliver Glasner’s plans, with the Crystal Palace manager already looking to youth during his time at Copers Cope.

One of those academy stars who is hopeful of making an impression is David Ozoh, a midfielder who has already made a few appearances for the Eagles in the Premier League.

The 19-year-old is spending the season with Derby County in the Championship and has already asserted himself in the first-team setup.

David Ozoh impresses in Derby County win

Ozoh has played every minute of Derby’s Championship campaign so far this season and has already been a standout player.

The Valencia-born star helped run the show as the Rams ran out 3-0 winners over Bristol City in their final match before the September international break.

The midfielder not only impressed in his all-round play but managed to find his way onto the scoresheet on the afternoon.

It was the youngster’s first professional goal, a key landmark he will no doubt remember in a career which has plenty of promise.

Taking to Instagram, Ozoh said: “First professional goal + 3 points! Unreal performance from the boys! Up the Rams.”

Crystal Palace star Tyrick Mitchell simply said: “Eee” with eye emojis, while £20million man Adam Wharton replied with a sighing emoji and love-heart eyes.

His Derby teammates were also full of praise in response, showing the impact he has already had in his short time at the club.

How did Crystal Palace’s other loan stars do?

Crystal Palace had plenty of other loan stars making their mark across the EFL over the weekend.

Goalkeeper Joe Whitworth helped keep a clean sheet for Exeter City as they beat League One promotion hopefuls Bolton Wanderers.

The 20-year-old made three saves in a match where the Grecians faced a bombardment of shots from the home side.

Fellow shot-stopper Owen Goodman was the hero in midweek for AFC Wimbledon as he stopped two penalties to help his side beat Premier League side Ipswich Town in the Carabao Cup.

The 20-year-old impressed again as he helped the Dons to a 1-0 win over Fleetwood, making one key save to take all three points.

Malcolm Ebiowei was an unused substitute in Oxford United’s 3-1 win over Preston, while Jesurun Rak-Sakyi’s Sheffield United take on Watford on Sunday.
