Crystal Palace are yet to dive into any transfer business so far this summer.
Steve Parish is rightly prioritising a new manager before targeting any players, with Pierre Sage close to arriving at Selhurst Park as the replacement for Oliver Glasner.
Crystal Palace are expected to bid for Hayden Hackney once Sage is officially unveiled – the Frenchman is believed to be waiting for a work permit.
Now – while speaking on talkSPORT – Alan Pardew has suggested that Jadon Sancho could also end up at Crystal Palace this summer after the England international was released by Manchester United.
Who is your DREAM signing? ⭐️
Alan Pardew names Crystal Palace as a potential destination for Jadon Sancho
The 26-year-old is remarkably on the lookout for a new club this summer after becoming a free agent.
Sancho was one of the hottest properties in football just a matter of years ago, sealing a £73m move to Manchester United in July 2021 after becoming a global superstar at Borussia Dortmund – where he scored 53 goals and provided 67 assists in 158 appearances.
However, after mustering up just 12 goals and six assists in 83 games for Manchester United, those at Old Trafford have decided to part ways with the man born in Camberwell, and Pardew – who also put Steve Coppell above Glasner – believes Crystal Palace could be his next club.
When asked if Sancho should move to Selhurst Park, the 64-year-old said: “I think that will be the kind of club that he’ll go to. That mid-section of the Premier League. I don’t think he’s going to get a move to one of the top six clubs.”

Some may scoff at the idea of the Londoner moving to SE25 after he managed just one goal and three assists in 39 games while on loan at Aston Villa last season, but we think it is certainly worth taking the gamble – especially with Sage at the helm.
The 47-year-old worked his magic with some declining stars such as Florian Thauvin, Odsonne Edouard and Allan Saint-Maximin at RC Lens last season.
Sage coaxed 14 goals and ten assists out of the 33-year-old Thauvin across 37 appearances last term, a player many considered to be finished at the highest level.
The Frenchman also helped Edouard bag 14 goals in 34 games following his departure from Crystal Palace last summer, as RC Lens finished second in Ligue 1 – only six points behind PSG – and also won the Coupe de France.
Initial thoughts on Pierre Sage? 🤔
He can boast a 67.5% win ratio from 40 games at RC Lens 😍
Therefore, Sage could well help Sancho rediscover the form which led Manchester United to spend £73m on his signature just a few seasons ago.
