Crystal Palace fans have now reacted to a video of Ebere Eze posted on the club’s official Twitter account.
The video showed the England international watching old clips of Ian Wright and Mark Bright causing chaos together in attack.
So, what have the Crystal Palace fans been saying about the footage of Ebere Eze? Let’s take a look…
Crystal Palace fans love footage of Ebere Eze
Well, this was a lovely piece of Crystal Palace history.
Sky Sports sat Eze down in front of a screen to educate him on the brilliance of Wright and Bright, who lit Selhurst Park up towards the end of the eighties and the start of the nineties.
Speaking about what he had watched, the Crystal Palace No.10 said: “Oh my days – he (Wright) was a number 10 as well! He warmed it up, man. These guys probably aren’t spoken of enough. You can see that they’re doing things that are way beyond their time.
“You can see that they’re looking for each other when they’re near the goal and their selflessness is something that you hope to experience when you’re playing with someone.”
It was a lovely feature, in which Eze was clearly taken aback by the brilliance of two bonafide Crystal Palace legends, and the Selhurst Park faithful seemed to enjoy it.
One supporter described the video as “absolutely beautiful” content.
Another Crystal Palace fan also used the word “beautiful” to describe the footage, adding that Eze showed “such respect and appreciation” for Wright and Bright.
Two more Crystal Palace fans commented on the footage.
One used the word “class” after watching Eze swoon over the talent of Wright and Bright.
Another said it was “heartwarming” to witness.
Last but not least, two more Crystal Palace fans shared their thoughts, both claiming that they would love to have at least one of Wright and Bright nowadays.
We can understand why – only Sheffield United have scored fewer than Crystal Palace’s eight goals in ten Premier League games so far this season with seven.
One fan said either striker would be “gratefully accepted” at Selhurst Park right now.
Another said they would give anything to have one of Wright and Bright leading the line under Roy Hodgson at the moment.
Clearly, there remains huge respect for Wright and Bright amongst the Crystal Palace fanbase, and the addition of a modern day favourite in Eze made the content even better to watch.
