Those in the boardroom at Crystal Palace are now furious at something Roy Hodgson did on Saturday.

That is according to Football Insider.

So, what is the latest on Roy Hodgson at Crystal Palace? Let’s take a look…

Crystal Palace board members furious with Hodgson

Well – according to Football Insider – unnamed members of the Crystal Palace hierarchy are believed to be livid with Hodgson after Michael Olise suffered an injury setback.

It is said that those in the boardroom feel the Crystal Palace No.7 was rushed back from a hamstring injury too quickly.

Olise is now facing a minimum of two months out on the sidelines – according to the Daily Mail.

It comes amid a separate story from Football Insider – who claim that Steve Cooper has now been approached to replace Hodgson following Saturday’s hammering at the hands of Brighton.

However, the Welshman is believed to feel apprehensive about taking over during the middle of the season, and would prefer to arrive at Selhurst Park in the summer.

Hodgson has to go

We cannot believe the 76-year-old has not been sacked yet, in all honesty.

Saturday’s 4-1 defeat to Brighton was not so much the tip of the iceberg, but the melting of the iceberg itself. It was a culmination of all that is wrong with Crystal Palace right now, and anyone with a semblance of sense could see that result coming.

Change is needed – and fast – or else relegation is a real possibility.

The fact replacements are already being approached suggests Steve Parish is now all too aware of the need for change, but if Cooper and others reject us, that should not mean Hodgson stays on regardless.

The man from Croydon has displayed a seriously worrying level of ineptitude so far this season, to the point where some decisions – including the use of Olise on Saturday – make the current situation feel almost like an inside job of sorts.

As a result, Hodgson should not be allowed to continue, nor should Paddy McCarthy be promoted as Interim Manager – a fresh face is needed, and quickly.
