Crystal Palace fans do not have much to shout about right now after a dismal run in the Premier League – but Yannick Bolasie has attempted to put smiles on faces with a dig at Brighton.
The 34-year-old posted the comment on X (previously known as Twitter).

Well, after Michael Owen strangely claimed that Brighton are everybody’s favourite second team, the DR Congo international was not having it.
Popular Crystal Palace fanpage HLTCO responded with “Michael Owen does not speak for me” after hearing the 44-year-old’s comments.
Bolasie then hilariously replied “nor me” to HLTCO.
Even seven years on from departing Selhurst Park, Bolasie clearly still has red and blue running through his veins.
The 6ft 2in forward was often a pain in Brighton’s backside, memorably providing that wonderful assist for Wilfried Zaha to open the scoring in the Championship Play-Off Semi-Final.
In total, Bolasie made 144 appearances for Crystal Palace, scoring 13 goals while also providing 30 assists.

Bolasie – who sent a message to Wilfried Zaha after he scored his first UEFA Champions League goal – enjoyed a strong start to life at Everton following his £25m move to Goodison Park in August 2016.
However, a serious knee injury on Merseyside effectively ended his Premier League career.
Bolasie spent time on loan at Aston Villa, Anderlecht, Sporting CP and Middlesbrough before joining Turkish outfit Çaykur Rizespor on a permanent deal in August 2021.
In November, the Lyon-born winger then surprisingly joined Swansea on a deal running until the end of the 2023/24 campaign, meaning he is back where it all started for him in the Championship.
Hopefully, Bolasie can enjoy his football in South Wales and become a firm fan favourite at the Liberty Stadium this season.
