Keith Millen is fondly remembered at Crystal Palace.
The man born in Croydon arrived at Selhurst Park when following Ian Holloway from Blackpool back in 2012 – going on to hold the reins as Interim Manager on three separate occasions before departing in 2017.
Millen memorably oversaw a crucial 1-0 win away at Hull City just before Tony Pulis took over, which provided a huge boost in our fight for survival in that 2013/14 campaign, and managed to guide us to a result in five of his nine games in charge.
Now, the 58-year-old is back in south London after a stint managing Carlisle United, where he has become reacquainted with Wilfried Zaha and Danny Young, former kitman at Crystal Palace.

For those who are unaware, Zaha, who Crystal Palace tried to bring back last summer, actually co-owns AFC Croydon Athletic alongside Stormzy and the aforementioned Young, with the trio now hiring Millen as Manager.
Zaha was seen to have reacted by liking the post on Instagram.
Beyond them, there are even more Crystal Palace connections.
Not only are Zaha, Young and now Millen involved, but AFC Croydon Athletic also have the likes of Sam Woods, Brandon Pierrick, David Omilabu, Nya Kirby and Luke Dreher – all of whom played for Crystal Palace at academy level.
Pierrick even managed to make his Premier League debut under Roy Hodgson, coming on during a 1-1 draw against Norwich at Carrow Road in January 2020.
Patrick Vieira also lands new job
Aside from Millen, another former Crystal Palace manager in Patrick Vieira has also landed a new job on the same day.
The Frenchman has just been appointed by Genoa after leaving Strasbourg back in July by mutual consent, with the Italian side sat 17th in Serie A – just above the relegation zone.
Contrastingly, Millen comes into his job with AFC Croydon Athletic sat in the more comfortable position of tenth in the Isthmian South East division.
Hopefully, both the Londoner – who played for Crystal Palace at academy level in 1982 to 1983 – and Vieira prove successful in their new roles, after leaving strong impressions at Selhurst Park.
