Crystal Palace relegation prediction

Former Premier League striker Chris Sutton has given his verdict on Crystal Palace‘s chances of relegation this season. It comes after the Eagles suffered yet an other loss in the division, while a host of teams below them won.

Just five points separate the Eagles from the drop zone, which may be enough of a gap, but it’s too close for comfort. Speaking on the Monday Night Club podcast for the BBC, Sutton said: “I would be a little bit worried about Palace, they’ve got a tricky run-in, just in my eyes, not that my eyes are all that good, but I think they’ve got a tricky run-in, Palace.”

Crystal Palace striker transfer

With the summer transfer market around the corner, it could prove to be a busy window for Crystal Palace. New boss Oliver Glasner will be looking to implement his own stamp to the squad, with hopes of adding a fresh twist to the style of play.

It means there’s a potential of a host of exits, as well as some incomings to bolster the options available. Striker is one of those positions that looks set for a slight overhaul in the coming months as fresh links emerge.

According to reports from D Sports, FC Basel forward Thierno Barry is a player of interest to Palace this summer. The towering forward has shown impressive spells in Switzerland this campaign and may offer something new in the Premier League.

Bundesliga transfer target

Crystal Palace transfer links continue to pop up as the club gears up for a busy summer window ahead of them. One of the latest comes from the Bundesliga, where Oliver Glasner has excelled in his management career before moving to Selhurst Park.

A report from Football Insider states that the Eagles are interested in a move for Union Berlin’s Danilho Doekhi. The 25-year-old is a centre-back, capable of playing on both sides and with plenty of top flight experience, drawing some interest heading into the summer.
