Crystal Palace are apparently interested in signing Celtic star Matt O’Riley and it looks like they could make a move in the January transfer window.

Crystal Palace are looking for options to bolster their squad and this has led them to have an interest in O’Riley.
According to The Scottish Sun, Crystal Palace are among the clubs who are currently monitoring the Scottish Premiership player.
Other interested parties apparently include Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool and Newcastle, whilst Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund are also keen.
Apparently, bids for O’Riley above £10m would tempt Celtic into selling the central midfielder. The Hoops are apparently more open to selling him next summer, rather than in January.

O’Riley has scored six times and provided five assists in 12 appearances in the Scottish Premiership this season. He has also managed two assists in the Champions League this season.
In fact, the 22 year-old impressed so much in Celtic’s Champions League match against Atletico Madrid that he picked up the Man of the Match award.
Despite still being quite young, O’Riley clearly has top quality and also the potential to become a top player competing at the highest level. Crystal Palace made four signings in the summer, but they definitely need to add more squad depth and quality if they want to compete higher up the division.
He is already playing at a very high level with Celtic, where he has won the Scottish Premiership. He would be a fantastic coup for Palace.
The only issue for the Eagles is the fact that there are some top clubs competing for the player and with Celtic apparently tempted by bids above £10m, these big clubs will easily be able to offer more than Palace.
What they can promise him is the guarantee of game time, as well as the possibility of using Palace as the next step in his career. It could be a move that benefits all parties in the short-term and the long-term.
