Why Chelsea FINALLY Turned A Corner.
Crystal Palace full-back Tyrick Mitchell managed a huge achievement following his appearance in the Premier League on the weekend.
It is no doubt something all associated with the club should be very proud of.
So, what achievement did Mitchell manage to complete for Crystal Palace on the weekend? Let’s take a look…
What’s the story?
Tyrick Mitchell has been an ever-present in the Palace starting XI and what he has now managed to break a club record.
The club posted on social media that it was his 100th Premier League appearance for Palace. This meant that the defender became our youngest-ever player to make 100 Premier League appearances for the club at the weekend.
This is no doubt a great achievement and something which all associated with the club should be happy to see.
It shows that players can come from our youth academy and make an impact in the Premier League. This should hopefully be good motivation for the current academy players.
Tyrick Mitchell could continue to break more records at Palace
The left-back has been a key play for Crystal Palace for many years now and it is great to see him continue thriving at the club.
Mitchell is also still only 24 years-old. If he continues playing at the level that he is playing at then he could break many more appearance records at the club.
Hopefully he continues to thrive and it definitely feels like he is back to his best since Roy Hodgson returned to management at the club.
There are some academy players on the fringes like Jesurun Rak-Sakyi who will now be hoping that they can break into the first team.
It will no doubt feel like a great moment in the career of Tyrick Mitchell, especially at a club which he started playing for since his academy days.
The Eagles have had a couple of injuries lately and this could see the South London side use more players from the academy.
