It is said that the man from Salzburg’s enthusiasm to get his ideas across clearly has also made an impact on the squad at Selhurst Park – who seem to be very impressed by the fresh ideas.
Glasner has done a tremendous job in drilling a brand new style of play into his players so quickly.
Having played in a basic 4-3-3 under Hodgson, the Eagles are now lining up in a 3-4-3 system which includes wing-back roles, a formation that demands intensity all over the pitch.
It speaks volumes about Glasner’s communication skills that he has been able to implement his ideas successfully in such a short amount of time – not speaking in his native tongue either.
No wonder the Crystal Palace players have been left feeling blown away by the new boss.

A story from the Guardian claims that Nottingham Forest actually reached a verbal agreement with the Austrian after sacking Steve Cooper, but the deal collapsed after he asked to have a say in recruitment.
Why Nottingham Forest didn’t want a manager to be involved in transfer plans is a mystery to us, although their loss has most certainly been Crystal Palace’s gain.
