Crystal Palace endured another frustrating afternoon at Selhurst Park on Saturday.
Having already suffered a 2-0 defeat against West Ham at Selhurst Park this season, Oliver Glasner watched his side fail to win once again in SE25 as Leicester City came within minutes of a 2-1 win.

Marc Guehi says he was “not good enough” in Crystal Palace 2-2 Leicester City
Marc Guehi has now taken to X (previously known as Twitter) to admit he was far from his best on Saturday.
The £18m defender wrote: “Personally, not good enough from myself yesterday, but proud of the team spirit to fight back and get a point. 🦅”
Guehi was surprisingly beaten to the ball by Jamie Vardy for Leicester City’s opening goal, while he and Nathaniel Clyne then found themselves all over the place as Stephy Mavididi made it 2-0 just 26 seconds into the second half.
However, it was an underwhelming display from everybody in red and blue, so the England international shouldn’t beat himself up about his own performance – we were simply not at the races as a unit until going two goals behind.

Let’s take a look at the numbers behind Guehi’s performance, after the 24-year-old criticised himself online.
SofaScore shows that the man from Abidjan made five clearances against the Foxes, along with one interception and 65 successful passes – seven of those passes were accurate long balls.
However, Guehi – who Newcastle submitted several bids for this summer – did fail to make a single tackle and lost possession on 12 occasions, so by his lofty standards, it perhaps was a sloppy display from the Chelsea academy graduate.
Hopefully, it serves as a wake up call to the Crystal Palace No.6 and his teammates, as the 2024/25 campaign will not be a special one if we perform like that every week.
