Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi has been speaking to the media over the international break and he has been speaking about how he can improve.
The defender has been called up to the England squad for their games against Australia and Italy.
So, where does Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi believe he can improve? Let’s take a look…
Crystal Palace star Marc Guehi on how he can improve as a defender
With the Palace player on international duty, he spoke to the media. Guehi was asked about being a leader and what he felt he needed to work on.
Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live, via Yahoo, Guehi said: “I am very wary of my limitations of a leader I would say.”
“I think I have a lot of qualities, but there is definitely a lot of things that I can get better at and definitely will get better at. Every day is a learning process, learning from the players around me, learning from coaches and try and improve those leadership qualities every day.
“You can’t always be perfect. I am definitely aware of that myself. I see them in myself every day, but they are definitely things I want to work at. I know I am getting better at them as long as I keep working on them each day.”
“Sometimes I can be frustrated, which is human nature and trying to work on that and trying not to show as much as possible, because I think when you are a leader people feed off that. If they see you are frustrated that can allow them to be frustrated. So, trying to stay as calm as possible in the toughest of situations, I would say that is definitely one of those.”

Crystal Palace have a potential world-class defender in Marc Guehi
The centre-back is still only 23 years-old. The way he speaks and the way he plays feels like he is an experienced defender in his prime.
Guehi has already captained the first-team squad on many occasions and everyone at the club adores the player. He has so many defensive qualities and is also adding some top attacking attributes to his game as well.
He is now a consistent England international. There is no doubt that he could be playing at the very highest level in the near future.
Palace fans will again be hoping that they can keep hold of Guehi for as long as possible when the summer transfer window opens next summer.

It is good to hear that he does not believe he is the perfect package yet. The fact that he has highlighted where he needs to improve is also a great sign.
It shows how good his mentality is. It is no shock to see the Palace defence so strong with Guehi in the side.
