Why Chelsea FINALLY Turned A Corner.
Crystal Palace have now stepped up interest in Perr Schuurs amid doubts over the future of Marc Guehi at Selhurst Park.
That is according to the Daily Mail.
So, what are the details involving Perr Schuurs and Crystal Palace? Let’s take a look…
What’s the story?
Well, it is said that we are intensifying our interest in the Dutchman due to concerns over keeping Guehi in south London.
The Daily Mail believe Arsenal, Tottenham, Manchester United and Liverpool are all monitoring the England international, amid a claim from The Athletic which states that Crystal Palace will need to make a major sale if we want to spend heavily this summer.
Guehi could fetch up to £60m in the current market, and Schuurs is therefore being lined up as a potential replacement for a sum much less than that figure.
The 23-year-old only joined Torino in a €9.5m (£8m) move from Ajax back in August, but could already be leaving after impressing during his debut campaign in Serie A.
Schuurs made 36 appearances in all competitions, scoring one goal and providing two assists as Torino finished tenth in Italy’s top-flight.
Vicente Guaita could also leave as Crystal Palace target Perr Schuurs
Guehi may not be the only key player leaving Selhurst Park this summer.
The Daily Mail add that Vicente Guaita is wanted by Getafe, where he spent four years from 2014 – 2018 before leaving to join the Eagles.
Of course, the Spaniard lost his place to Sam Johnstone at the end of the 2022/23 campaign, so he could well choose to leave in search of regular first-team football once again.
Be sure to keep an eye on developments at Selhurst Park, as Crystal Palace attempt to strengthen the squad while also weighing up whether to keep Roy Hodgson or not.
