Why Chelsea FINALLY Turned A Corner.
Darren Ambrose has reacted following the news that Michael Olise has signed a new deal at Crystal Palace this summer transfer window.
The news was a huge shock and was confirmed by the club earlier today.
So, what did Darren Ambrose have to say about this amazing Crystal Palace update? Let’s take a look…
What’s the story?
Speaking on talkSPORT, Ambrose came out a few weeks ago and stated that there was no release clause in Olise’s contract, despite other reports saying otherwise.
It was then recently reported that this release clause was triggered and the player was on the Chelsea. This was not the case as it was confirmed by Palace today that the French winger had signed a new four-year contract.
The former Palace midfielder had a simple three-word reaction, which was brilliant and summed up the situation perfectly.
Following the announcement, Ambrose simply tweeted: ‘Well, well, well.’ This feels like he was also reacting to the fact that he wasn’t wrong about the player not going on a possible release clause.
Michael Olise staying at Crystal Palace is great news
Everyone at the club knows just how good Michael Olise is and it is great to see that he has signed a new deal at Palace.
He is massively crucial, and this was proven by his 11 assists in the Premier League last season. This was the fourth most in the division.
Ambrose is feeling smug right now and understandably know as it looked like he was in the wrong over the last week.
Hopefully now, we can see the club be more active in the transfer window and look towards some better signings to add more quality and squad depth.
For now, the Eagles will have to make do without Olise until he recovers from his injury. What is great is the fact that we will see him in a Palace shirt again. This is something we were not sure we would see again.
Palace should now be targeting a top-half finish after this great news and also after being in the division for over a decade.
