Eberechi Eze earned Crystal Palace a point with his special equaliser against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge – where Eddie Nketiah and Trevoh Chalobah were in attendance.
The England international and the Chelsea loanee watched on alongside another deadline day arrival in Matt Turner, as Oliver Glasner‘s side fought back from 1-0 down to earn a first Premier League point of the 2024/25 campaign.
After the 1-1 draw, both Eddie Nketiah and Trevoh Chalobah messaged Crystal Palace No.10 Eberechi Eze on Instagram…
What Eddie Nketiah and Trevoh Chalobah said to Eberechi Eze
The new Crystal Palace No.9 and Chalobah – who will spend the 2024/25 campaign on loan at Selhurst Park from Chelsea – enjoyed some banter with Eze on Instagram after Sunday’s London derby.
The £17m man could be seen pointing at Nketiah and the man from Freetown while celebrating his equaliser, which he referred to in his Instagram caption – writing “I see youuu 😁” to his new teammates.
Nketiah replied “thank you for seeing us 🙏🏾😂” in the comments section, before Chalobah added “we see you too 😂🔥” as Adam Wharton, Daniel Munoz, Tyrick Mitchell, Marc Guehi and Yannick Bolasie also responded.

Unfortunately, Chalobah ended up deleting his comment, as Chelsea fans who were upset to see their side drop two points criticised the 25-year-old for laughing after his parent side drew, which is quite embarrassing, in all honesty.
Prepare to witness South London FC, Crystal Palace fans
Every supporter wants to be able to connect with their team and feel represented on the pitch, which is exactly what Dougie Freedman has aimed to do with his recruitment.
Nketiah – born in Lewisham – and Chalobah, who grew up in Lambeth, have now joined a Crystal Palace side who already had Eze, born in Greenwich, Guehi, raised in Gravesend, and Nathaniel Clyne, born in Stockwell, in the squad, meaning Glasner has a strong south London contingent on his hands.

That should see an even tighter connection formed between the players and the fanbase, as well as plenty more points secured on the pitch – after all, aside from the fact these aforementioned players are all tied to south London roots, they are also excellent footballers.
Hopefully, Sunday’s point against Chelsea can now kickstart the 2024/25 campaign for Crystal Palace after a slow start.
