"Great" winger linked to Crystal Palace is now "keen to play in the Premier League" - journalist

Why Chelsea FINALLY Turned A Corner.

The latest news suggests that Crystal Palace transfer target Jack Clarke is keen on a move to the Premier League.

That’s according to Sky Sports reporter Keith Downie.

So, what’s the latest on the future of Jack Clarke? Let’s take a look…

What’s the story?

Reports have linked Crystal Palace with a bid for the winger for a while. Despite this, they are not the only club in the race.

The latest news from Keith Downie has reported that fellow Premier League side Burnley are very keen on Clarke. So much so that they have made multiple bids. They still are apparently yet to have an offer accepted.

The Sky Sports reporter claimed that Sunderland have rejected a fourth bid from Burnley for the winger this summer.

He went on to share that the latest offer is apparently £10m plus a few million in add-ons. Due to this, Downie reports that Clarke is aware of big interest in him from Vincent Kompany and he is also now “keen to play in the Premier League”.

Crystal Palace urgently need some reinforcements

The ‘great‘ player has a lot of potential and had a fantastic campaign in the Championship last season with Sunderland.

Clarke is only 22 years-old, but was a key player as he scored nine goals and picked up 11 assists in 45 Championship appearances.

The left-winger could no doubt be a top player and with Wilfried Zaha now at a new club, the Eagles desperately need some new attacking signings.

To make matters worse, right-winger Michael Olise will reportedly miss the start of the Premier League season due to injury.

Clarke fits the transfer profile perfectly for Palace. We have tried to sign young Championship stars over the last few seasons.

With Burnley already making four bids, the Eagles need to act quick to make sure they don’t lose out on Clarke to a Premier League rival.
