Crystal Palace have several exciting talents coming through the academy right now, and attacker John-Kymani Gordon is one with the potential to develop very well.
Gordon spent the first half of this season on loan at League One side Cambridge United, where he made 19 appearances across the front three.
He has now joined AFC Wimbledon on loan for the second half of this campaign, dropping down to League Two as part of his development to play regularly and add goals to his game, having scored 12 times in 50 games for the under-21 side at Crystal Palace.
Wimbledon manager Johnnie Jackson has now emphasised his excitement at the prospect of the attacker joining his side, and highlighted how he could one day develop into a forward good enough to play for the Crystal Palace first-team.

Speaking to AFC Wimbledon’s official website, Jackson claimed that the 20-year-old’s vast potential could see him becoming a Premier League player one day.
“John-Kymani is a really exciting young player that Crystal Palace have really high hopes for,” he stated.
“He has huge potential to one day play for them – it’s a great opportunity for him and us.
“He can play wide and he can play up front, he gives us options in attack. He’s had success at the level already having been promoted with Carlisle last season, he fits the bill for the sort of player we’re looking for. He’ll be a real asset for us between now and the end of the season.”

The talented youngster made 17 appearances for Carlisle United last season, scoring twice and assisting twice as his side were promoted from League Two.
Although he has featured regularly at these lower levels, this loan at Cambridge United needs to be one where Gordon further develops his game by adding goals to his performances.
Crystal Palace have a lot of talented youngsters within the academy, but they are better off developing on loan given the lack of chances they would have received under Roy Hodgson at Selhurst Park, but Steve Parish now needs to allow these talents to develop with the eventual goal of giving the best ones chances in the first-team, something which has been lacking this season.
