Oliver Glasner’s incredible work since arriving at Crystal Palace hasn’t gone unnoticed and now Steve Parish has just refuted interest from Bayern Munich.
Over the past six games, the Oliver Glasner era has fully begun at Selhurst Park with all six unbeaten since the 1-0 win at Anfield.
Of the six games Crystal Palace has won five, all against clubs who were above us in the table prior to playing.
This is a miraculous run which has seen Palace move up to 12th in the league with the possibility to finish as high as 10th if other results go Palace’s way.
But this work from Glasner hasn’t gone unnoticed with Bayern Munich now said to have approached Palace to take the Austrian this summer.
How much Crystal Palace asked Bayern Munich to pay for Oliver Glasner
In a move which shows just how highly rated Glasner is by the Palace hierarchy, Steve Parish has asked for a whopping £86m to let the 49-year-old boss head to Bayern Munich.
This came according to journalist Christian Falk and BILD sport who’ve reported that the Bavarian giants approached Palace for Glasner as they search for a Thomas Tuchel replacement.
This was Bayern’s fourth option to fail this summer as they offered £15.4m to Palace, only to be asked for £86 in return.
It’s said that there is no agreement and the deal is therefore over with Glasner set to remain at Selhurst Park.
Where would Glasner rank among record Palace sales?
£86m is an insane amount to charge for a manager, and there’s practically no chance that Bayern or anyone else would’ve paid it.
But hypothetically if Bayern did agree to spend that massive amount, where would it rank in the club’s biggest-ever sales?

If it happened, the £86m would be the highest sale ever from the club, beating the current record sale which was Aaron Wan-Bissaka to Manchester United for £50m by £36m.
The fee requested was absolutely stupendous, however, it’s a sign which bodes well for the summer.
Clearly, Parish isn’t keen to let any important parts of this excellent Eagles team go this summer which is a good sign as lots of interest is expected for star players.
