Odsonne Edouard has now been speaking about life at Crystal Palace.
The Frenchman sat down with Foot Mercato to speak about his career so far – and what the future may hold.

What Odsonne Edouard said about Crystal Palace
Well, the 25-year-old has enjoyed a strong 2023/24 campaign so far.
Edouard has scored six goals in 13 Premier League appearances this term – already equalling his tally from last season.
Now, the Crystal Palace No.22 has admitted that he would like to make the France squad one day and also sign for one of Europe’s biggest clubs, hinting at a future exit from Selhurst Park unless the Eagles suddenly become a UEFA Champions League outfit.
Edouard said: “At the moment, I’m in the Premier League, I like life in England, I like the championship. The ideal goal is to stay in the Premier League, but I am an open person. I’ve already moved around quite a bit since the start of my career.
“Afterwards, my goal is really to reach the biggest European clubs, and that means scoring a lot of goals and performing well every weekend. Achieving good performances with Crystal Palace in short.”
It at least sounds like Edouard doesn’t plan on leaving anytime soon, and is simply showing a bit of ambition – which nobody can criticise.
It would be more concerning to us if those at Crystal Palace said they had no intention of playing at the very highest level.
Odsonne Edouard has been a solid signing for Crystal Palace
Crystal Palace paid £14m to sign Edouard from Celtic in August 2021 – where he was seen as a hero in Glasgow.
The Kourou-born forward has certainly struggled at times and could be more consistent, but overall, he has been an effective presence in what has largely been a defensive setup at Selhurst Park.
Edouard has scored 20 goals in 82 appearances for Crystal Palace – also providing five assists.
A return of one goal roughly every four games is respectable, and there is no reason why Edouard cannot score at least 15 goals this season if he keeps doing what he’s doing.
