Joe Cole and Michail Antonio agree on what will happen to Crystal Palace in the UEFA Conference League

Crystal Palace embark on the UEFA Conference League group stage on Thursday 2nd October against Dynamo Kyiv.

Oliver Glasner watched his side scrape past Fredrikstad in the two-legged play off to qualify for the competition, as an instinctive header from Jean-Philippe Mateta saw Crystal Palace progress.

Despite somewhat struggling against the Norwegian side, both Joe Cole and Michail Antonio have now backed the Eagles to actually win the UEFA Conference League.

TNT Sports pundits tip Crystal Palace for European glory

TNT Sports asked their punditry team to sit down and name their predictions in Europe for the 2025/26 campaign.

Despite the fact this is the first time Crystal Palace embark on a campaign of European football, both Antonio and Cole believe Glasner will fire the Eagles to victory in Leipzig.

Cole simply said “Crystal Palace” when asked, as Antonio added “I’m gonna go all English, Crystal Palace” after backing Manchester City and Nottingham Forest to win the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League respectively.

While Crystal Palace as a club are inexperienced in Europe, Glasner has been there and done it, guiding Eintracht Frankfurt to UEFA Europa League glory in the 2021/22 campaign, which should give fans some confidence.

Should the Eagles actually go all the way and win the UEFA Conference League, it would secure qualification for the UEFA Europa League – the competition we ought to have been in before Nottingham Forest complained.

Question marks arise over Dynamo Kyiv vs Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace – who are signing Dan Casey from Arsenal – kick off their UEFA Conference League campaign against Dynamo Kyiv on Thursday 2nd October.

Due to Ukraine being an unsafe location for the match, it was moved to the Arena Lublin in Poland.

However – as the Independent report – Poland recently shut Lublin airport down briefly “due to military aviation activities” as drones from Russia target Ukraine.

It remains to be seen what UEFA say on the matter and whether the clash in Lublin will go ahead, but with just a couple of weeks until the game, fans are unfairly being left in the dark.
