Kieran McKenna has now responded after being asked if he will replace Roy Hodgson at Crystal Palace.
The 37-year-old made the comments when speaking in his press conference on Friday.
So, what did Kieran McKenna say when asked about the Crystal Palace job? Let’s take a look…
Kieran McKenna responds to Crystal Palace rumours
Well, plenty of rumours about the 37-year-old began to circulate on Friday.
It led one Crystal Palace supporter to ask Alan Nixon of The Sun if there was any truth in rumours that McKenna would be replacing Hodgson – to which the answer was a simple no.
Now, the man himself has responded to speculation about his future.

Suffolk News quote McKenna as saying: “No, my full focus, full commitment is with Ipswich and the season that we’re having and the next game ahead, so that’s where all my energy is and all my commitment is.
“I don’t pay any attention to it, to be honest. It’s not the first time in the last couple of years. If you’re doing well, it’s going to be there and there are going to be links.
“Football can work the other way pretty quickly as well. I’ll just focus on the day-to-day work here. As I’ve said before, I’m very proud and honoured to manage this football club and I’m enjoying doing so and will continue to do the best I can.”
Roy Hodgson looks set to stay
A lot can change very quickly in football – Michael Beale said something very similar during his time at QPR when Wolves made an approach, only to depart for Rangers just days later.
Having said that, McKenna does sound incredibly focused on his job at Portman Road – so we doubt he will be taking over from Hodgson anytime soon.

The likes of Steve Cooper and Julen Lopetegui have also been linked with the role at Selhurst Park – although both are not keen to take a job during the middle of the season, according to The Times.
It means – for now at least – that Hodgson looks set to remain in charge despite a run of just two wins in 14 outings and a lengthy string of puzzling decisions, which is truly bizarre.
