We Are Palace understand Steve Parish respects Graham Potter and could hire the Englishman as a replacement for Oliver Glasner.
It remains to be seen whether the 49-year-old would want to move to SE25, but in the meantime, another manager is believed to be open to the job.
David Moyes open to replacing Oliver Glasner at Crystal Palace
A story from Football Insider now states that David Moyes would be open to holding talks with Crystal Palace about replacing Glasner – as the Glaswegian targets a return to management.
The 61-year-old has been out of work since West Ham opted to replace him with Julen Lopetegui at the end of last season, after overseeing 112 wins from 261 games across two separate spells in east London.
Moyes has won 482 of his 1126 games in management – lifting the UEFA Conference League, FA Community Shield and also the Football League Third Division title in terms of silverware.
Hiring Moyes would be a step backwards from Steve Parish
Moyes has undoubtedly enjoyed a tremendous career in management, but bringing him to south London in place of Glasner would send out a negative message.
It was only a matter of months ago that Crystal Palace set a new club record in scoring four goals in the first half of a Premier League game for the first time ever, against the Scot’s West Ham side at Selhurst Park.
We eventually won 5-1 in that London derby, with some West Ham fans regularly bringing MOYES OUT banners to games as frustrations boiled over.
Of course, we could get a new manager bounce and enjoy life under Moyes for the rest of the season, but in terms of a making a bright appointment for the future, it would not tick that box whatsoever.
