Why Chelsea FINALLY Turned A Corner.
Crystal Palace attacking midfielder Eberechi Eze has spoken out and urged out of contract talisman Wilfried Zaha to stay at the club.
The attacking midfielder was speaking to Sky Sports yesterday.
So what did Eze say about Wilfried Zaha? Let’s take a look.
What’s the story?
Crystal Palace were playing League Two side Crawley in a friendly and we performed very well in the match. In the first 25 minutes, Palace were 4-0 up and that is how the game finished.
Speaking to Sky Sports following the victory against Crawley, Eze urged Zaha to stay at the club. He said: “We want him to stay at Selhurst Park of course. You know the quality that he has got. As a player, he’s an incredible player, incredible person. We will see what happens”.
Wilfried Zaha’s contract at Palace expired in June and he is yet to sign a new deal despite a reported £200k-a-week contract being offered to him by Palace.
The player is currently assessing his options whilst also recuperating from the injury that saw him miss the last few games of the season.
It would be great if Crystal Palace could re-sign Zaha
Zaha is no doubt one of the best footballers to ever play for Palace. He is a club legend and has single-handedly kept the Eagles in the Premier League on many occasions.
The winger is now 30 years-old and no doubt has ambitions to be playing in a European competition like the Champions League.
You can understand why he is taking his time and evaluating his future because this is the last time he will be offered a big move.
Eberechi Eze is a top talent and his 10 Premier League goals last season showed that he can be Palace’s new talisman should Zaha leave.
Palace have a lot of exciting talent like Eze, Michael Olise and Marc Guehi. It would be great to keep the experience of Zaha and no doubt everyone wants him to sign a new deal.
He has great quality, is prolific and can beat any defender when at his best. Zaha should hopefully make his decision soon so that the Eagles can start making some more movements in the transfer window.
