Ahead of facing West Ham, Oliver Glasner has revealed Crystal Palace have another injury to contend with, caused by Adam Wharton.
There’s been no escaping injuries this season for Oliver Glasner as since he’s arrived the list of absentees hasn’t exactly eased.
Currently, for Crystal Palace, Marc Guehi, Chris Richards, Jefferson Lerma, Sam Johnstone and Matheus Franca are just some of the players he’s without.
This substantial list includes four nailed-on starting players, with Cheick Doucoure also set to miss the remainder of the season.
But now this list has gotten longer, with an injury being sustained in training as Glasner has now revealed.

The latest injury blow to emerge out of Selhurst Park sees £6m man Will Hughes with a knock after picking one up in training during the week.
This is the last thing Glasner needed as it has coincided with Lerma’s injury which sees him out until the Manchester United game.
However, the story behind Hughes’ injury is one which is rather interesting, as told by the manager himself, quoted by the Standard.
“Will Hughes who got a knock yesterday in training and couldn’t train today.
“Hughes was knocked down by Adam Wharton in yesterday’s training session. Adam is working in the gym every day and I said ‘Now you’re able to knock Will Hughes down, so it’s progress’”, he added jokingly.
This is probably the strangest injury story we’ve had emerge at least throughout this season, with Palace’s £22m man at the very heart of the story.
Liverpool win for Crystal Palace looks even more important by the day
It feels like a lifetime now since Palace defeated Liverpool 1-0 at Anfield last Sunday, but already the win has doubled in importance.
Three points last week, dragged Palace to what should be safety this season on 33-points which is almost out of range for the sides currently in the relegation places.
Now, this win looks huge, given the injuries which have since emerged, as Lerma in particular looks to be a severe miss.
With a team so weakened by injuries, the remainder of this season could end up being a struggle despite the good work that Glasner has done to date.
This therefore could make those three points taken from Anfield the deciding factor in survival. Although it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him continue to thrive even with this many injuries.
