Oliver Glasner’s struggle to get Crystal Palace back on track has not been made any easier by the fitness of his squad failing him.
Crystal Palace’s season to date has been a real struggle, with results on the pitch a million miles away from what may have been expected this season – following the excellent conclusion to last season.
Oliver Glasner’s side are yet to win a single Premier League game after playing eight which is a record befitting of relegation.

The Austrian has been working on a new formation ahead of facing Tottenham Hotspurs this weekend at Selhurst Park – although he will still be contending with a weakened squad.
One position which is struggling is centre-midfield – and now Glasner has revealed an update on how Adam Wharton is doing amid last week’s surgery bombshell.
Oliver Glasner on whether Adam Wharton will receive surgery
Wharton burst on the Premier League scene in February and being instantly brilliant he forced his way into the England set-up.
However, this season has been different from the word go, with Wharton looking a shadow of his former self – but injuries are to blame.

Speaking in his press conference ahead of facing Spurs on Sunday, Glasner has shared new updates on Wharton’s fitness.
As quoted by journalist Dom Smith, Glasner was asked about Wharton and answered by explaining whether Wharton would have groin surgery.
“Not [a discussion] in detail [yet]. When we take the final decision we will all inform you.”
It has previously been reported that if he had to undergo the surgery, Wharton’s recovery time would be around three weeks, making it almost a no-brainer to do it as soon as possible – not risk aggravating it further.
Glasner could be cursing Crystal Palace for years to come
Wharton needs surgery, and the fact Glasner is planning to use him in the next three games is completely ludicrous after he admitted that the issue needs the operation to heal.
Wharton has been bad this season, but it was reported earlier in the campaign that the No.20 was taking injections to make it through games.
Therefore it would be a big mistake to play Wharton through this issue – especially when he is offering so little right now.
Considering Wharton is only 20, it would be troubling if the club were pumping him with painkillers and likely inadvertently resigning Wharton to a future of injuries.
This would not only stop him from reaching his potential, but could in the worst case see him suffer a fate similar to so many promising players who have been run into the ground early in their careers.
