Crystal Palace are currently missing some key players.
Oliver Glasner was forced to go without Eberechi Eze and Adam Wharton in Saturday’s 2-2 draw against Wolves, a game Jefferson Lerma, Chris Richards, Chadi Riad, Matheus Franca and Joel Ward also missed through injury.
Had some of these names been available, we may have been strong enough to defeat Wolves and move into a higher position than our current spot of 17th in the Premier League.

Now – according to the South London Press – Glasner has another injury problem on his hands at Crystal Palace.
Crystal Palace lose Franco Umeh to injury
The talented Franco Umeh has been a regular in the squad this season, appearing on the bench six times in the Premier League as he provides cover for Tyrick Mitchell.
However, the 19-year-old is now set to miss “a number of weeks” after picking up a hamstring injury.

The South London Press state that Umeh has impressed staff in training at Copers Cope after being tested as a potential option for cover at left wing-back, although Glasner will now have to go without the Republic of Ireland U19 international.
Tyrick Mitchell could be the next to suffer injury
Losing Umeh – who only cost £75,000 – obviously means Glasner has lost his backup option to Mitchell, and in truth, the Crystal Palace No.3 himself may also have a fitness issue soon.

The England international has played the full 90 minutes on seven out of ten occasions in the Premier League this season, having also started 37 out of 38 games last term.
Mitchell is – therefore – long overdue a rest, and he looked very tired in Saturday’s draw at Molineux, rarely pushing forward to overlap, while also showing a lack of awareness defensively when Joao Gomes put Wolves 2-1 ahead.
Therefore, if we keep pushing the 25-year-old, he too could soon break down like Umeh and many others have already done this season.
