Oliver Glasner has been spotted speaking closely with Naouirou Ahamada during Crystal Palace training.
The interaction was picked up by club cameras during the Austrian’s first session at Copers Cope.

Well – around the 1:55 mark of Crystal Palace’s video – the man from Salzburg can be seen speaking closely to the Frenchman.
While it is impossible to hear what was said, Glasner visibly offers Ahamada some tactical advice as he gestures with his arms and then opens his body out.

Now, some may not choose to read too much into this exchange between Glasner and Ahamada, although we believe it was interesting given the 21-year-old’s Bundesliga background.

It is hard not to feel sorry for Ahamada – who has struggled for playing time in SE25.
The Crystal Palace No.29 saw Patrick Vieira – the man who signed him in a €10m (£9m) deal from VfB Stuttgart – sacked just weeks after arriving in south London, and was then consistently overlook by Roy Hodgson, who failed to give him a single start in the Premier League.
Now – however – we think Glasner will take a liking to Ahamada.
The man from Marseille made his stunning breakthrough at VfB Stuttgart while Glasner was in charge of Eintracht Frankfurt, so the Austrian surely knows all about the Frenchman and what he is capable of.
Juventus even saw enough talent in the attacking midfielder to sign him from Istres back in 2018 – so there is clearly a player in there somewhere.
Make no mistake about it – Ahamada was one of the Bundesliga’s brightest talents before Crystal Palace disturbed his progress, so we strongly believe the Hodgson outcast will now have a significant role to play in south London under someone all too aware of his talents in Glasner.
