Why Chelsea FINALLY Turned A Corner.
The latest news suggests that Crystal Palace are close to agreeing a big money move for heavily linked transfer target Perr Schuurs.
That is according to DAZN Italy journalist Orazio Accomando.
So, what’s the latest regarding the future of Perr Schuurs? Let’s take a look?
What’s the story?
Many reports have already been linking Crystal Palace to the defender for quite a while. This latest update is the closest we have heard to a deal nearly being done.
Italian journalist Accomando tweeted: “Perr Schuurs one step away to Crystal Palace. Crystal Palace has presented Turin with a 35M offer. 4-year contract ready.”
With the Eagles already having excellent centre-backs in Marc Guehi and Joachim Andersen, this news may be both exciting and worrying at the same time.
It is great to sign a new player but reports have suggested that Guehi and Andersen are attracting a lot of interest this summer. Could this mean that one of the two defenders could be on the move?
Crystal Palace linked to Perr Schuurs
There is no doubting that the centre-back is a very good player. The ‘incredible‘ defender is highly-rated and reports have also claimed that he is attracting the interest of other Premier League teams like Newcastle and Liverpool.
Despite this, it seems silly for Palace to spend this much money on a defender if both Andersen and Guehi stay at Selhurst Park this summer.
It has already been reported that the club will only spend major money if they sell players this summer. €35million is around £30million so it is definitely a huge amount apparently agreed for Schuurs.
Due to this, this latest report either shows a big statement of intent or the fact that someone could be leaving this summer. For now, with Guehi and Andersen still at the club, and Chris Richards also a good cover option, it seems better if the club spent a large sum of money elsewhere.
We have a decent squad at the club, but a couple of signings would be a great boost and help us possibly achieve a top-half finish for the first time in a decade.
