Why Chelsea FINALLY Turned A Corner.
One exciting Crystal Palace academy prospect was pictured in first-team training this week and it would have been a huge opportunity for the youngster.
17 year-old forward Zach Marsh showed the images on social media.
So, let’s have a look at the exciting youngster in first-team training…
What’s the story?
As the senior squad prepared for their game against Aston Villa this weekend, Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson clearly wanted to get a look at other players in the youth setup.
One that featured in first-team training was Zach Marsh. The player clearly enjoyed himself as he put the images of him training on his Instagram.
This season, Marsh has been on form for the U18 Crystal Palace academy side. He has managed to score three goals in two U18 Premier League appearances.
Marsh looks like a player for the future
It is great to see Roy Hodgson integrate some of the academy players into first-team training. Not only is this a great experience but it also gives the manager a chance to see how good the prospects at the club are.
Football fans love when Palace manage to break into the first-team from the academy. Palace have seen players like Tyrick Mitchell successfully step up to the Premier League.
No doubt Palace fans would be ecstatic to see a forward break into the first-team from their academy. It is so hard to find a top forward these days unless you spend lots of money so an academy talent would be great.
It will be interesting to see if academy talents can break into the first-team this season. Jesurun Rak-Sakyi is no doubt the closest to making it.
It is a big season for the Eagles. We have been in the division for a decade and will be wanting to challenge the top 10.
If we do not break into the top half then we could end up falling behind some of the teams in the division around us.
