Matheus Franca netted a hat-trick as Pierre Sage defeated Ian Holloway, with Crystal Palace players sporting a new white home shirt including a red and blue sash.
It is a tribute to the 1976 home shirt on its 50th anniversary, but there is an inconsistency with the outfield strip compared to the goalkeeper kit.

Macron use two different badges for Crystal Palace in 2026/27 kit
The new white home shirt includes a badge change, with Crystal Palace now using the old crest on the kit for the 2026/27 campaign.
However, the goalkeeper’s shirt still has the current, modernised badge, as you can see in the photo of Walter Benitez – who allegedly wants to leave – playing against Swindon Town below.
It is not exactly a catastrophic mistake from Macron, but it is puzzling nonetheless.
Surely, if we’re going to use a classic badge for this season, it needs to be consistent across the board.
On the topic of the new kits, it shouldn’t be much longer until Crystal Palace unveil the new away shirt, which is rumoured to either be a black or yellow edition with a red and blue sash too.
The new away kit could make its debut on Saturday in our second pre-season friendly of the summer, as Crystal Palace travel within south London to face Bromley.
Us here at We are Palace are huge fans of the new white shirt and the inclusion of the old badge, but it would be a tad disappointing if Crystal Palace failed to keep the details consistent on the goalkeeper’s kit.

Hopefully, the issue is amended in time for the trip to Bromley, where Sage will get a second look at his new side after a promising start to life after Oliver Glasner against Swindon Town.
