Why Chelsea FINALLY Turned A Corner.
Crystal Palace academy star Joe Whitworth is attracting a lot of interest, and one of the unnamed clubs keen on him is will be playing European football next season.
That is according to LondonNewsOnline.
So, what are the details involving Joe Whitworth? Let’s take a look…
What’s the story?
The 19 year-old featured twice in the Premier League for Crystal Palace last season due to an injury crisis. His potential has clearly caught the attention of other clubs as LondonNewsOnline are reporting that a number of clubs from Europe and the English Football League have asked about a season-long loan.
The report says that one of the clubs interested in signing him on loan is a club competing in a European competition next season. The report goes on to suggest that Whitworth’s ability when distributing the ball has attracted clubs abroad, mainly those in the Netherlands and Belgium.
Interest in Whitworth, who has been involved in the England youth setup, is apparently going to heat up when clubs return for pre-season.
Joe Whitworth going out on loan would benefit all parties
All of us at Palace love it when an academy star manages to feature professionally for the club. Whitworth, who is a Palace fan, is already adored by the fan base.
With him only being 19 years-old, he needs to head out on loan to gain some quality game time at a senior level. Moving to a club with European football would be a huge opportunity for him.
Patrick Vieira, who gave him his professional debut, previously deemed him a “really strong character” and a player with “really strong potential”.
If Whitworth could manage to have a successful loan move abroad, it would be great for his future prospects at Crystal Palace.
If he does move out on loan, we will be watching him intently to see how he gets on. No doubt he will smash it wherever he goes.
