Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish has potentially risked upsetting Eberechi Eze due to the reported wages of goalkeeper Dean Henderson.

Reports have suggested that Crystal Palace are attempting to begin new contract talks with Eberechi Eze but the wages of Dean Henderson could definitely cause an issue.

So, what wages is Dean Henderson on at the Eagles and how could that upset Eze? Let’s take a look…

Crystal Palace’s highest earner is Dean Henderson

Reports from The Athletic have shared the best-paid player at each Premier League club this season. With Wilfried Zaha gone, the highest earner at the club has been somewhat unknown by fans.

Apparently, Henderson, who signed for Crystal Palace this summer, is now the highest earner at the club. He is reportedly if earning £100k-a-week at the club.

With the Eagles trying to tempt one of their top players in Eze to sign a new contract, figures like the one Henderson reportedly receives will not help.

To make matters worse, the English goalkeeper picked up an injury in the 17th minute of his Crystal Palace debut and is now sidelined for the foreseeable.

Dean Henderson wages at Crystal Palace could upset Eberechi Eze

Despite being the star player, the wages of Eze at the moment are only £30k-a-week. His current contract expires in June 2025.

With not long left on his deal, you can see why Steve Parish wants to tie him down to a new deal. He scored 10 Premier League goals last season and is crucial to Palace.

Now, with Henderson being the highest earner at the club, Parish could risk upsetting Eze if he doesn’t give the midfielder similar wages.

More so, Henderson has been seen as the substitute goalkeeper so far this season whilst Eze is the key player at Palace.

With Eze such a key player, Parish will definitely have to give Eze a similar salary to the one Henderson has if he wants to keep the 25-year-old at the club.

Eze is a top talent and we do not want to see him upset as other clubs will definitely be circling to try and sign him.
