Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi admitted that last night wasn’t the Eagles’ day, but that they still have reasons to be positive.
Roy Hodgson‘s side fell to a 2-1 defeat, after a second-half strike from Heung-min Son and an own goal from Joel Ward.
Crystal Palace did register a late consolation after a great touch and finish from Jordan Ayew in stoppage time – causing late nerves for Ange Postecoglou’s side.
However, Spurs held on claiming all three points, with Hodgson’s side now without a win in four Premier League outings.

Speaking to the media after the game, the 23-year-old admitted that there are still reasons to be positive after the loss.
“I think it’s really important we try and move on from this game, learn, and try and build for the future.
“[At half-time] the message was more of the same because it was working. They have many chances in the game, but they’re a good side and when you lose concentration in that split moment they can punish you – and that’s exactly what they did today.”
“In these games, you have to take as many positives as you can to help yourself progress and move forward.
“The team tried to carry out what the manager and the staff put in place for us, so [the result was] disappointing, but we have to move on from this game.”
Crystal Palace need to make amends at Burnley
Last night’s defeat needs to quickly be put behind the team, with an important trip to face Burnley on the horizon.
Vincent Komoany’s side have only won once in the league so far this season, with the Clarets struggling after promotion last season.
Next Saturday is a great opportunity for Hodgson’s side to put an end to the poor run of form they find themselves in.
